Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a new movie based on the Sonic video games made by Sega. It's a funny action-packed adventure. This movie follows Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022). Jeff Fowler directed it, and Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington wrote the screenplay. Casey and Miller also came up with the story. The movie stars James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, Idris Elba, Jim Carrey, and Keanu Reeves joins the cast too. They started planning Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in February 2022, before the second movie came out. Filming started in July 2023 in Surrey, England, for the animated parts. They filmed with real actors in London starting in November 2023 and finished by March 2024. The movie is inspired by the Sonic Adventure 2 video game from 2001. You can see Sonic the Hedgehog 3 in theaters in the United States on December 20, 2024, by Paramount Pictures.
