Sean Diddy Combs Lawyer on Raids: “There Was a Gross Overuse of Military-Level Force”

Sean Diddy Combs Lawyer on Raids

Diddy’s lawyer, Aaron Dyer, is speaking out after government agents searched the music mogul’s homes in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. This happened on Monday, about a month after Combs was sued for serious accusations.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyer says the music mogul worked with the authorities after they searched his homes. But he also says that the way the searches happened was too forceful, like what you might see in a military operation.

About a month after Combs was sued for serious accusations, agents searched his homes on Monday in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. A spokesperson for Homeland Security Investigations New York said that the searches were part of an ongoing investigation, with help from other law enforcement agencies.

On Tuesday, Combs’ lawyer, Aaron Dyer, criticized the searches and said they were too aggressive. He also criticized how the media was involved.

Dyer said, “Yesterday, the way the search warrants were carried out at Mr. Combs’ homes was too forceful. There’s no good reason for the extreme show of force and unfriendly behavior by authorities or how they treated his kids and employees. Mr. Combs wasn’t arrested but talked to and cooperated with authorities. Despite what the media is saying, neither Mr. Combs nor his family have been arrested, and they can still travel freely.”

He added, “This aggressive search, along with a lot of media attention, leads people to judge Mr. Combs too quickly. It’s like a witch hunt based on accusations from lawsuits that haven’t been proven. Mr. Combs is innocent and will keep fighting to clear his name.”

These events happened about a month after Combs was sued for sexual assault by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. The lawsuit accused Combs of harassing and trafficking him. This was the fifth lawsuit filed against the rapper since his former partner, Cassie, sued him in November for sexual assault, alleging that he raped and physically abused her for almost ten years. They later settled the case.

On Monday, Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, said, “We’ll support law enforcement in prosecuting those who break the law. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of holding Mr. Combs accountable for his actions.”

Other lawsuits against Combs include accusations from a woman who was underage at the time of the alleged assault and a claim that Combs made Jones find sex workers for him. Some lawsuits also say Combs drugged his victims, and one claims he choked a woman until she passed out, then told her not to report it.

Combs has denied all accusations, saying last December, “I didn’t do any of the terrible things people are accusing me of.”
