He is the lawyer who has been working with O.J. Simpson for a long time. Before O.J. died, he said he would make sure Ron Goldman’s parents get the money they were given in a 1998 court case. This was a case where O.J. Simpson was ordered to pay millions to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Malcolm LaVergne had said earlier that he wouldn’t give any money to Fred Goldman, Ron Goldman’s father. But now, he says he will. He admitted his earlier words were harsh and not directed at Fred Goldman but at his lawyers.
He plans to be very clear and open with the families of Brown Simpson and Goldman. He wants to talk to them and invite them to his office to discuss things. He also wants to make sure everything is sorted out properly before going to court.
Fred Goldman said in 2022 that he hasn’t received any money from Simpson related to the court case. He said the amount owed keeps increasing, but Simpson hasn’t paid anything.
Simpson’s assets are now in a trust and will go through a legal process. He has four adult children who will make decisions together based on what they think their father would want.
They decided to cremate Simpson’s body, and there might be a memorial for him later, but it will be small and only for family and close friends.
