The director who made ‘Truman’ will also direct a new movie based on his own play. Netflix will make this movie called “53 Domingos”. It’s by Spanish director Cesc Gay.
The story is about three brothers. They have to decide what to do with their dad, who is acting strangely because he’s getting old. They argue about whether to send him to a nursing home or have him live with one of them. But their calm family meeting turns into a big fight.
The actors Carmen Machi, Javier Cámara, and Javier Gutierrez will be in the movie. The director Cesc Gay is famous for his movie ‘Truman’ and other films.
Netflix announced three new Spanish movies this week. One is a thriller called “Un Fantasma en la Batalla” about the police fighting a terrorist group. Another is “La Desconocida”, which is about a woman found in a container at the docks in Barcelona, who doesn’t remember anything.
