NBC’s Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony Coming to Imax

Big news! The big show to start the Summer Olympics in Paris will be shown on super-sized screens in over 150 Imax theaters in America. Imax and NBCUniversal made a deal to show the opening ceremony live on July 26. This is the first time the Olympics will be shown live in Imax theaters.

The opening ceremony, which is usually held in a sports arena, will be held by the River Seine in Paris. This will make it look even more amazing on the big Imax screens. Imax and NBCUniversal will share the money made from ticket sales.

Famous people like Kelly Clarkson, Peyton Manning, and Mike Tirico will be there to talk about the ceremony. You can also watch it on TV and streaming platforms like NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo.

NBC also said they’ll be showing live coverage of the Olympics during the day in AMC Theatres across the U.S. from July 27 to August 11. This will also be a ticketed event. Around 160 AMC theaters will show some live events. Tickets will be available through AMC and Fandango.

NBCUniversal has the rights to show the Olympics in the U.S. until 2032.
