Keanu Reeves Joins ‘Sonic 3’ as Shadow

Paramount will put out a new video game movie on December 20th.

Keanu Reeves, known for his role in John Wick, will join the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He’ll voice Shadow, a character in the third Sonic movie.

This news follows a big event from Paramount called CinemaCon. At CinemaCon, they showed the first peek at Sonic 3. They revealed that Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, isn’t doing well after Sonic 2. But he gets back on track by creating Shadow the Hedgehog, who first appeared in a game in 2001. Shadow is Sonic’s opposite: dark and cool, but with similar powers.

Paramount’s Sonic movies started with Sonic the Hedgehog in 2020, which was a big success, making $319 million worldwide. Sonic 2 came out in 2022 and made even more money: $404 million. Jeff Fowler directed all three movies. Ben Schwartz voices Sonic, and James Mardsen plays Sonic’s human friend Tom Wachowski.

Keanu Reeves has been in many big movies lately, like John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Matrix: Resurrections. Next, he’ll be in Aziz Ansari’s Good Fortune and a John Wick spinoff called John Wick Presents: Ballerina.

The John Campea Show first talked about Reeves joining the Sonic movie.
