Dan Stevens is in a movie that will come out in the summer. Tilman Singer directs it.
Hunter Schafer is in a horror movie called “Cuckoo.” She finds out that not all European vacations are relaxing in the first trailer for the movie.
The movie will be in theatres on August 9th. Hunter Schafer plays Gretchen, a teenager who gets more than she expected when she takes a job at a resort in the German Alps. Dan Stevens plays Herr König, who offers her the job. Other actors in the movie are Jessica Henwick, Jan Bluthardt, Marton Csokas, Greta Fernández, and Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey.
In the trailer, Dan Stevens asks Hunter Schafer if she wants to work at the resort. Later, Hunter Schafer asks why they were brought to the resort.
Tilman Singer wrote and directed the movie. It premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in February and was also shown at SXSW. The producers are Thor Bradwell, Markus Halberschmidt, Ken Kao, Ben Rimmer, Josh Rosenbaum, and Maria Tsigka.
In a review for The Hollywood Reporter, David Rooney said that Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens give strong performances. He said the movie is not very scary but might get attention from fans.
Hunter Schafer is known for playing Jules Vaughn on the HBO show “Euphoria.” She was also in the movie “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” and will be in the upcoming movie “Kinds of Kindness.”
Dan Stevens is in the movie “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire,” which is in theatres now. He will also be in the movie “Abigail,” which comes out later this month.
