Mrunal Thakur recently talked to Pinkvilla and explained why she doesn’t do romantic movies in Hindi. She mentioned that she has yet to become famous enough to be offered such roles.

Even though Mrunal Thakur is very popular in the country, she has yet to do many romantic Hindi films. Her latest movie was with Nani in the romantic drama Hi Nanna, directed by debutant Shouryuv, which received positive reviews. She is known for playing romantic roles effortlessly, especially in Telugu films like Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna. In her interview with Pinkvilla, she shared the reason behind not getting many unrealistic offers in Hindi films.

Mrunal Thakur says she wants things to happen organically

When someone asked if there could be love stories in Hindi movies for her, the actress from Pippa said: “I’m not famous enough for a love story yet. I need to be more famous to have a love story, right?”

She also said that although many movies are made, none are romantic. Mrunal Thakur expressed her desire to do romantic films and said, “I don’t know, friend, I’m just tired of proving myself to filmmakers now. I want it to happen naturally.” She finished by saying that she had stopped asking them, and she was unsure how to approach them now.

Mrunal Thakur shared her thoughts about working on Hi Nanna. She said the filming was always lively, and Kiara Khanna, who played her daughter Mahi, was energetic. Mrunal mentioned that she considers Kiara her first child and even joked about it with Kiara’s birth mother. She praised Kiara as a great actress and expressed that working on Hi Nanna was a learning experience for her. Mrunal also spoke positively about working with Nani, describing him as a sweetheart who ensured everyone was comfortable before shooting a scene.
