Rupali Ganguly recently talked on Mashable India about her married life with her husband, Ashwin K Verma. She shared how they fell in love. Ashwin came to make an advertisement, saw Rupali’s picture among many others, and thought she was Bengali and interesting. At that time, Rupali had left her job.
Rupali explained that she left her job to go to catering college when she was very young. She took a break from the film industry and started studying catering. Once, she dressed up as a 60-year-old woman for a role. When she came out with white hair, Ashwin said he wouldn’t mind growing old with someone like her. Rupali also mentioned that her husband is good-looking and 6 feet tall.
How did Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin Verma get married?
Talking about her wedding, she shared how they decided to get married without spending a lot of money on the ceremony. The actress said, “We decided to get married on the 4th and did it on the 6th. I asked him to talk to my father. My father said, ‘Oh, you’re getting married? Okay, go ahead.’ We didn’t buy anything special, and there were no big arrangements. We just went to talk to Ashwin’s parents and had a registered marriage.”
Remembering her time shooting for Parvarrish-Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi, Rupali explained how she asked her producer for time off for her wedding. She said, “I was working on Parvarrish. I told my show’s producer that I needed a break. He asked, ‘Why? Your storyline is ongoing.’ I told him, ‘It’s my wedding; I’m getting married tomorrow’ (laughs).”
The actress mentioned that she had requested time off for her wedding a few times before but didn’t actually get married. She shared how her producer was unsure when she asked for time off again. However, she assured him that she would indeed get married this time.
