The people who organize the Golden Globe Awards have finished planning when people can send in their movies and TV shows to be considered for awards.
The Golden Globe Awards ceremony for the 82nd time will happen on January 5, 2025. It will be on TV from 8 to 11 p.m. Eastern Time and from 5 to 8 p.m. Pacific Time is on CBS and is also available to stream on Paramount+.
They’ve also decided all the important dates for the 2025 awards. They’ll announce the nominees on December 9, 2024.

- August 1, 2024: You can start sending in your movies and TV shows for the 2025 awards.
- November 4, 2024: Deadline for sending in your movies and TV shows.
- November 18, 2024: Deadline for voting on TV nominations.
- November 24, 2024: Last day for watching TV shows.
- November 25, 2024: Deadline for voting on TV nominations.
- November 26, 2024: Deadline for voting on movie nominations.
- December 3, 2024: Last day for watching movies.
- December 4, 2024: Deadline for voting on movie nominations.
- December 9, 2024: They’ll announce the 82nd Golden Globe Awards nominees.
- December 13, 2024: They’ll send out final voting ballots.
- January 1, 2025: Deadline for sending in final voting ballots.
- January 5, 2025: The 82nd Golden Globe Awards will happen.

CBS and the Golden Globes have made a new deal to broadcast the awards for five more years. The last awards, in January 2024, had many viewers and big winners like Poor Things and Succession.
The Golden Globes are run by Dick Clark Productions, which Penske Media Eldridge owns.
