The movie also stars Glenn Close and Brendan Fraser.
“Brothers,” a funny action movie with Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage, will be shown by Amazon MGM Studios.
Amazon has bought the rights to the movie, which was made by Legendary Pictures. It will be released in theaters and on Amazon’s streaming service, Prime Video. The movie will start streaming on Prime Video in over 240 countries on October 17. Before that, it will be shown in some theaters starting on October 1.
Besides Brolin and Dinklage, the movie features a famous cast, including Oscar winner Brendan Fraser, eight-time Oscar nominee Glenn Close, Taylour Paige (Zola), the late M. Emmet Walsh in one of his last roles, and Jennifer Landon (Yellowstone).
“Brothers” is about a former criminal (played by Brolin) who tries to live a clean life but gets into trouble when he goes on a road trip with his wild twin brother (played by Dinklage). They face dangers like gunfire, the police, and their controlling mother. Along the way, they must fix their broken family relationship before they hurt each other.
Max Barbakow directed the movie. Macon Blair wrote the script based on a story by Etan Cohen.
The film was produced by Andrew Lazar of Mad Chance, Brolin through his company JB Productions, and Dinklage along with his partner David Ginsberg through Estuary Films. Trish Stanard was the executive producer.
