In May 2022, they said Minhal Baig will make and lead the movie. They started taking pictures for the movie in and around Chicago.

The movie first showed to the world at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2023. On October 4, 2023, Sony Pictures Classics got the rights to share the movie, and it’s planned to come out in some movie theaters in the United States on April 19, 2024.
