About Ultraman Rising
Ultraman Rising is a new cartoon movie about a superhero. It’s based on the Ultraman series from Japan. Netflix Animation and Tsuburaya Productions worked together to make it. The animation is done by Industrial Light & Magic. This movie is the 44th one in the Ultraman series. Shannon Tindle, who is new to directing, directed it. He also wrote it with Marc Haimes. The main character, Ken Sato / Ultraman, is voiced by Christopher Sean. Other actors lending their voices include Gedde Watanabe, Tamlyn Tomita, Keone Young, and Julia Harriman.

Premise of Ultraman Rising
Ken Sato is a very famous baseball player and has a secret life. He’s a superhero called Ultraman, who is big. One day, he beats a giant monster and takes care of its baby. Now, Ken has to figure out how to manage being a baseball star and a superhero while caring for the baby monster.

Production
The movie is about a character, and it all starts when a person named Shannon Tindle has an idea. He thought of it while working on a show called Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends in the 2000s. Later, he worked more on the concept at Sony Pictures Animation from 2016 to 2018. The original plan was about a rich person learning to be responsible by caring for kids whose parent was once his enemy.
Shannon Tindle then moved to Netflix Animation and teamed up with another director, Peter Ramsey, to make a show called Lost Ollie. While working on that, Tindle changed his movie idea to fit with “Ultraman.”
They officially announced the project in May 2021. Shannon Tindle is directing and writing it with Marc Haimes. Tom Knott is producing, Lisa Poole is co-producing, John Aoshima is co-directing, and Industrial Light & Magic is animating the movie. In July 2022, Netflix showed a picture showing how the animation and Ultraman will look in the film.
Release
In October 2023, Tindle showed a picture and told the title of a new movie called “Ultraman Rising” on Twitter. They said there would be more news during Geeked Week 2023. In November 2023, they announced the actors’ voices and showed the first trailer for the movie during Geeked Week 2023. The movie will appear on Netflix in 2024, specifically on June 14, 2024.
