About Tuesday
Tuesday is a fantasy drama movie from 2023. It was written and directed by Daina O. Pusić, her first full-length film. The movie is a collaboration between A24, the BFI, and BBC Film. It stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Lola Petticrew as a mother and daughter. They receive guidance from Death as they deal with the daughter’s serious illness. Leah Harvey and Arinzé Kene are also in the movie.
Tuesday premiered at the 50th Telluride Film Festival on September 1, 2023. It will come out in the United States on June 14, 2024.
Premise
Zora lives with her very sick daughter, who is named Tuesday. One day, Death appears as a macaw that can change its size. This event starts a journey for Zora and Tuesday, during which they think about life, love, and death.

Production
In May 2021, it was said that Daina Oniunas-Pusić would start directing her first full-length movie. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lola Petticrew, Arinzé Kene, and Leah Harvey were revealed to be part of the cast. Filming began in the United Kingdom in June 2021, with Alexis Zabé as the cinematographer. They finished filming in late July.
Release
The movie was first shown to the world at the Telluride Film Festival on September 1, 2023. After that, it was also shown at the BFI London Film Festival on October 11, 2023. People can watch the movie when it officially comes out on June 14, 2024.
