About The Primevals
The Primevals is a movie made in 2023. It’s a mix of science fiction and fantasy, with lots of adventure. The people who made it are Full Moon Entertainment, and the person who wrote and directed it is David Allen. The main actor is Juliet Mills. David Allen loved making movies with stop motion animation, and this movie was his dream project. Even though he passed away, the movie was finished after more than 50 years of working on it.
Premise of The Primevals
After a big, hairy monster called a Yeti gets hurt by some Sherpa people, a team of scientists from a university goes to Nepal to learn where the monster came from. They work with a tough tracker and leave the Sherpa village. They find a secret, very old place full of dinosaurs, early humans, and strange alien reptiles after a big snowslide.

Production of The Primevals
A long time ago, in the late 1960s, some people had an idea for a movie called Raiders of the Stone Ring. It was about explorers in the 1920s finding a group of Viking-like people threatened by mean lizard-men. They made a short video to get money for the project. Hammer Films got interested but changed the idea into something called Zeppelin vs. Pterodactyl, and things didn’t work out.
In the early 1970s, they tried again with a script called The Glacial Empire or Primordium: The Arctic World. In the mid-1970s, they came up with a new plan called The Primevals. They wrote a script, but the money they hoped for didn’t come through.
In the 1980s, they tried once more with a company called Empire Pictures, but that didn’t work either. Then, in the late 1980s, the project got another chance when Full Moon Entertainment started. It was supposed to be a big and expensive project, but money troubles got in the way.
Filming started in 1994 in Romania and Italy, but the project faced more problems. Financial issues continued, and the person in charge of the project, David Allen, passed away in 1999. His friend Chris Endicott took care of the project’s materials.
In 2018, Charles Band, who was involved in the project, asked for money on a website called Indiegogo to finish the movie. People donated over $40,000. With limited funds, Chris Endicott and others worked hard to complete the film as a tribute to David Allen.
Release of The Primevals
In June 2023, they said that the movie would be shown for the first time at the Fantasia Film Festival in Canada on July 23, 2023. In that same month, they also showed the preview for the finished movie. The movie came out in the United States on March 11, 2024, but only in a few theaters.
