On August 25, 2022, it was said that Max and Sam Eggers, who are brothers of Robert Eggers, will write and direct a scary movie called The Front Room. It stars Brandy Norwood, Kathryn Hunter, and Andrew Burnap. The story is based on a short story by Susan Hill called The Front Room, which was in a book she published in 2016 called The Travelling Bag and Other Ghostly Stories. In February 2023, Screen Daily said the movie was being finished.
