Premise
Nora, Ginny, and Mary have been best friends since childhood. Every summer, they used to go to camp together. But they didn’t see each other as much as they got older. Now, they have a chance to go back to camp together. They all said yes, but some were more excited than others.

Production
In February 2023, Deadline said Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, and Alfre Woodard would be in a funny movie called “Summer Camp.” Castille Landon is directing and writing the movie. Eugene Levy joined the movie in March as Keaton’s love interest. Beverly D’Angelo, Dennis Haysbert, Nicole Richie, Josh Peck, Betsy Sodaro, and Tom Wright joined the cast in April.
They started taking pictures for the movie in North Carolina in April 2023 and finished in late May. Most filming happened at Camp Pinnacle and Blue Ridge Community College in Hendersonville. The producer, Dori Rath, looked at many summer camps before picking Camp Pinnacle. She said it was the best because it had cool stuff like the Sky Ropes course. They also filmed at Wingate University and Nantahala Outdoor Center. They hired over 1,000 local people to be in the movie.
They started working on the movie after they finished taking pictures in October 2023.
Release
In April 2024, Roadside Attractions got the rights to show a movie in the United States. They plan to put it in theatres on May 31, 2024.
