About Snack Shack
Snack Shack is a new funny movie from America about growing up. It was written and directed by Adam Carter Rehmeier. The story happens in the summer of 1991 and follows two teenage friends, played by Conor Sherry and Gabriel LaBelle. They work at a snack shack by a pool in Nebraska City. Things get interesting when a new lifeguard, played by Mika Abdalla, shows up and changes their summer plans. Gillian Vigman, David Costabile, and Nick Robinson also act in the movie. The story is kind of like the director’s own childhood experiences in Nebraska City. MRC, Paperclip Limited, and T-Street made the movie. Republic Pictures will release Snack Shack in the United States on March 15, 2024.
Premise
Two young friends, A.J. and Moose, win a chance to run a snack stand at a community pool in Nebraska City. They want to make money from their business, but a new lifeguard named Brooke makes things difficult for them. She puts both their snack stand and their friendship at risk.

Production
Development
The movie’s idea comes from when Director Adam Carter Rehmeier worked at a snack stand in his hometown’s pool in Nebraska City, Nebraska, when he was a kid.
Conor Sherry, who was a student at the University of California, Los Angeles, got the part after sending a video audition from his hotel room while he had COVID-19.
Gabriel LaBelle joined the movie in 2022 while he was working on another film with Steven Spielberg. He played Sammy Fabelman, a character somewhat inspired by Spielberg, in that movie.
Filming
Snack Shack started making a movie in Nebraska City on July 25, 2022. The Nebraska state government gave them $200,000 to help. They filmed everything in Nebraska, even using the Pioneer 3 Theater in Nebraska City and Henry Doorly Zoo and Statesman’s Park in Omaha for some scenes. About 65 people worked on the movie, including actors and crew members. They also hired some local people to be in the background of the scenes.
Release
Republic Pictures has the rights to share Snack Shack in the United States. It will come out on March 15, 2024. The company got the rights before the movie got delayed because of problems in Hollywood in 2023.
