About Sleeping Dogs
A new movie is coming soon called “Sleeping Dogs.” It’s a crime mystery thriller from America that stars Russell Crowe and Karen Gillan. The story comes from “The Book of Mirrors” by E.O. Chirovici, written into a script by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage. The people making the movie are from Nickel City Pictures, and this movie is the first time Adam Cooper is directing a full-length film.
Premise of Sleeping Dogs
Old detective Roy Freeman, who used to solve murders, is now getting help for Alzheimer’s. He has to look again at an old case where a college professor was killed. A mysterious woman gives him new information about the case.

Production
This movie is based on “The Book of Mirrors” by E.O. Chirovici. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage adapted the book for the movie, and Adam Cooper is also the director. Mark Fasano, Cooper, Collage, and Pouya Shabazian produced the movie. Matthew Goldberg, Cliff Roberts, and Arianne Fraser are executive producers. Russell Crowe was announced as the leading actor in August 2022.
In February 2023, Karen Gillan, Marton Csokas, Harry Greenwood, and Thomas M Wright joined the cast. The filming started in Victoria, Australia, in February 2023, with Russell Crowe feeling comfortable in Melbourne. The production finished in May 2023.
Release
In November 2022, Highland Film Group said they would share their movie with Signature Entertainment in the United Kingdom. Galaxy Pictures (a team-up of Rialto Distribution and Vertigo Releasing) will bring it out in Australia. The Avenue plans to release Sleeping Dogs in the United States on March 22, 2024.
