About Shaitaan
Shaitaan, also known as Devil, is a scary movie from India. It was made in 2024 and is in the Hindi language. Vikas Bahl directed it, and it was produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. The movie is a redo of a Gujarati film called Vash from 2023. The main actors are Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj. Amit Trivedi made the music, and Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti and Sandeep Francis did the filming and editing.
They announced the movie in May 2023 and confirmed the title in January 2024. They started filming in June 2023 and finished in September 2023, filming in India and London.
Shaitaan came out in theaters on March 8, 2024, which is Maha Shivaratri. Critics liked it, saying good things about the acting, story, and how it was made.
Plot of Shaitaan
Kabir is a man who does money work. He lives in a place called Dehradun with his wife Jyoti and their two kids, Janhvi and Dhruv. They decide to go to a special house they have in the mountains for the weekend to have fun together.
On their way, they stop to eat at a small restaurant by the road. They meet a man named Vanraj there, who offers to pay for their tea. They invite him to join them. He gives Janhvi a sweet. After eating it, Janhvi starts doing strange things because she feels like she has to listen to whatever Vanraj says.
Later, when they get to the house, Janhvi eats some cookies Vanraj gave her and acts weirdly again. Vanraj shows up at the house and asks to stay because his phone is dead. Kabir lets him stay, but Jyoti is suspicious of him.
Vanraj starts telling Janhvi to do strange and scary things like scaring her brother and being rude to her parents. He tells them that he has made Janhvi do these things using something called black magic.
When the police come because someone called them, Kabir and Jyoti can’t tell them what’s really happening because Vanraj has made Janhvi threaten to cause an explosion if they do. So, they lie to the police.
Kabir tries to pay Vanraj to leave, but he burns the money and stays. Kabir and Jyoti realize that Janhvi is still under Vanraj’s control, so they try to stop him. Vanraj threatens them, but Kabir secretly puts a tracker on his phone.
Vanraj takes Janhvi to a secret place where he plans to do something bad with her and other girls. Kabir finds them and fights Vanraj. He saves Janhvi and the other girls by playing a recording that frees them from Vanraj’s control.
Everyone ends up in the hospital, safe. The police thank Kabir for helping. Vanraj is missing, but Kabir secretly keeps him tied up as punishment for what he did. Kabir shows Vanraj that he will do anything to protect his family. Then, Kabir leaves Vanraj alone, screaming.

Production of Shaitaan
The movie is a new version of a scary movie called Vash, made in the Gujarati language in 2023. They said they would make this new version in May 2023 and they revealed the title, Shaitaan, in January 2024 with a short video called a teaser. Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan are the main actors, and they are joined by Jyothika, Anngad Raaj, and Janki Bodiwala. Janki Bodiwala acted in the original movie too.
This movie is special because it’s the first time R. Madhavan and Jyothika worked together since 2003 in a movie called Priyamaana Thozhi.
They filmed the movie in London, Mumbai, and Mussoorie from June 2023 to September 2023.
Soundtrack
The movie’s music is made by Amit Trivedi and the words are written by Kumaar. The first song, called “Khushiyaan Bator Lo,” came out on February 15, 2024. The second song, “Aisa Main Shaitaan,” was released on February 29, 2024.
