Poolman is a funny mystery movie from America. It was made in 2023. Chris Pine, who usually acts, directed, produced, and helped write it. Annette Bening, DeWanda Wise, Stephen Tobolowsky, Clancy Brown, John Ortiz, Ray Wise, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Danny DeVito are also in it.
The movie first showed at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023. It’s coming out in the United States on May 10, 2024.

Production
In February 2022, they said Chris Pine would direct his first movie. He also wrote the script with Ian Gotler. Chris Pine will act in it too, with Annette Bening and Danny DeVito. The idea for the movie came when Chris Pine talked with director Patty Jenkins. She will be one of the producers. In May, they added Ariana DeBose and Jennifer Jason Leigh to the cast. Matthew Jensen will be the cinematographer. In July, DeWanda Wise joined the cast too.
They started filming in June 2022 in Los Angeles. By November 2022, they finished filming and started working on the movie. They sold the rights to show the movie in different countries to different companies like Paramount Pictures, StudioCanal, and Lionsgate Films. In the UK and Ireland, Signature Entertainment will show the movie.
Release
The first time Poolman was shown to the world was at a big movie festival in Toronto on September 11, 2023. Then, in December 2023, Vertical Entertainment got the rights to share the movie. It’s planned for people in the United States to watch it on May 10, 2024.
