About Monkey Man
Monkey Man is a new exciting movie directed by Dev Patel. This is his first time directing a big movie. He came up with the story, and the screenplay was written by Patel, Paul Angunawela, and John Collee. The movie stars Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, and Makarand Deshpande.
Monkey Man will be shown for the first time at South by Southwest on March 11, 2024. After that, it will be released in the United States on April 5, 2024, by Universal Pictures.
Premise
A young person named Kid is working secretly in a fight club that’s not known to everyone. Kid wants to get back at a bunch of bad leaders. They cause Kid’s mom to die, and they’re also mistreating people who are poor and don’t have much power. Kid is on a mission to make things right and get revenge.

Production
On October 29, 2018, people said that Dev Patel would direct his first movie, “Monkey Man,” an action thriller. On March 12, 2021, they told everyone they finished filming, and Netflix bought the rights to show the movie everywhere. They described the movie as “John Wick in Mumbai.” But then, Jordan Peele watched it and thought it should be delivered in theatres. So, he got the rights for the movie under his Monkeypaw Productions, which works with Universal Pictures.
The movie has incredible fight scenes made by Brahim Chab, who worked with famous actors like Jackie Chan, Scott Adkins, Donnie Yen, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Nicholas Tse on different movies.
Release
The movie will first be shown to the world at South by Southwest on March 11, 2024. After that, everyone can watch it in theatres on April 5, 2024, thanks to Universal Pictures.
