Premise of Longlegs
The movie is about Lee Harker, a new FBI agent. He’s given a tough job: solving a case about a serial killer that no one else has cracked. As he digs deeper, he finds strange clues that hint at occult secrets. Harker soon discovers a surprising connection between himself and the killer. Now, he must move fast to stop the killer from striking again and harming another family.

Production
In November 2022, it was said that Osgood Perkins would direct a movie from a script he wrote. Nicolas Cage agreed to produce and act in this horror movie about a serial killer under his company, Saturn Films. Then, in February 2023, Maika Monroe agreed to play an FBI agent named Lee Harker in the movie. The next month, Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood also joined the movie’s cast.
Filming for the movie happened in Vancouver, British Columbia, from January 16 to February 23, 2023. Andrés Arochi was the cinematographer for the movie.
Release
In February 2023, Neon bought the rights to show the movie in North America during the European Film Market. They plan to release the movie in the United States on July 12, 2024.
