Coming soon is a spooky movie from America called ‘Imaginary.’ It’s about supernatural things and is made by Jeff Wadlow. The story was written by Wadlow, Greg Erb, and Jason Oremland. DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcón, and Betty Buckley are the main actors. Jason Blum and Tower of Babble make the movie, and it will be out on March 8, 2024, thanks to Lionsgate.
Premise of Imaginary
Jessica returned to her old home, where she had lived as a kid. She brings her family with her. In the house, she discovers her old teddy bear, Chauncey. Her youngest stepdaughter, Alice, really likes the teddy bear. But, as Jessica notices that Alice’s actions are worrying and the games they play together become a bit scary, she begins to understand that Chauncey might not be just a regular teddy bear like she thought all these years.

Production
In February 2023, Deadline Hollywood said that Lionsgate got the rights to the scary movie called Imaginary from Blumhouse. The movie was made by Jeff Wadlow, who also wrote it with Greg Erb and Jason Oremland. They spent about $13 million (before getting tax breaks) to make it, and they filmed it in New Orleans from May to late June 2023.
Marketing
In November 2023, they showed a short preview for a new movie before a scary film called Five Nights at Freddy’s. The preview was interesting because it asked people to close their eyes and use their imagination while listening to the surround sound. The movie makers did this purposefully to make the audience think about scary things even without showing much of the movie. It was a way to get people excited about the movie.
Release
The movie “Imaginary” was supposed to appear in theatres on February 2, 2024. Still, it got delayed because of a strike that happened in 2023. Now, it’s going to be released by Lionsgate on March 8, 2024.
