About Humane
“Humane” is a new scary movie about a world where things are really bad. It’s directed by Caitlin Cronenberg and written by Michael Sparaga. The main actors are Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire, and Peter Gallagher.
Plot
Just a few months after the world faced a big ecological problem, leaders had to do extreme things to make fewer people live on Earth. A man who used to work as a news reporter and just retired asks his grown-up children to come to dinner. He wants to tell them that he’s planning to join a new program where people can choose to end their lives. But things go really wrong with his plan, and his children get very upset and everything becomes chaotic.

On December 10, 2021, it was said that Caitlin Cronenberg would direct a scary movie called Humane. The person who wrote and made the movie is Michael Sparaga. His company is called Victory Man Productions. Martin Katz and Karen Wookey from Prospero Pictures are helping with the movie too. In November 2022, they told us that Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire, and Peter Gallagher are in the main roles.
Filming
Filming started on October 17, 2022, in Hamilton, Ontario.
Release
Humane will come out in the United States on April 26, 2024.
