Premise of Downtown Owl
In 1983, in a pretend town called Owl, North Dakota, the story is about three people who are closely connected. Horace is an old man who spends his afternoons thinking about the good old days at the local coffee shop. Mitch is a sad high school football player who doesn’t often get to play. Julia is a new English teacher at the high school. Their lives, and the lives of everyone else in the town, change a lot because of a big snowstorm called a whiteout blizzard.
