Premise
A good girl decides to marry a lovely prince but finds out it is a trick. The royal family used her as a sacrifice to pay an old debt. Now, she’s put in a cave with a dragon that breathes fire. She has to be intelligent and strong to stay alive.

Production
In March 2020, they announced a new movie called “Damsel.” Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is the director, and Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are the producers. Dan Mazeau wrote the script. Millie Bobby Brown was chosen to play Princess Elodie and is also one of the executive producers. The movie’s budget is expected to be between $60-70 million.
They started filming the movie in February 2022 and finished on July 1, 2022, in Tomar, Portugal. In April 2022, Angela Bassett, Nick Robinson, Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo joined the cast.
Release
The movie “Damsel” was supposed to appear on Netflix on October 13, 2023. However, it got delayed because of a strike in the United States that affected how they could promote the film. The new release date is March 8, 2024.
