About Boy Kills World
Boy Kills World is a movie that came out in 2023. It’s an exciting action thriller directed by Moritz Mohr. This is his first time directing a full-length movie. The script was written by Arend Remmers and Tyler Burton Smith, based on a story by Mohr and Remmers. The movie stars Bill Skarsgård, Jessica Rothe, Yayan Ruhian, Isaiah Mustafa, and Andrew Koji. They filmed it in South Africa. The title might make you think of the TV show Boy Meets World, but they’re not connected.
The movie first showed at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023. It’s set to come out in the United States on April 26, 2024. Lionsgate Films and Roadside Attractions are releasing it.
Premise of Boy Kills World
When Boy’s family is taken away from him, he, a person who cannot hear or speak, runs away to the jungle. There, a secret teacher helps him learn how to get back at the people who hurt his family.

Production
Moritz Mohr, who is the director and the person who wrote the story, talked to Sam Raimi and Roy Lee about a movie idea called “Boy Kills World.” He showed them a short video and some early drawings to help them understand his vision. Sam Raimi and Roy Lee, who work for Raimi Productions and Vertigo Entertainment, liked the idea a lot. They decided to help make the movie with Nitbah Pictures and Hammerstone Studios. Orion Pictures was going to be part of it at first, but they had to leave because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The movie was officially announced on October 7, 2021. The cast includes Bill Skarsgård, Samara Weaving, Yayan Ruhian, Isaiah Mustafa, Andrew Koji, Jessica Rothe, Famke Janssen, Brett Gelman, Sharlto Copley, Quinn Copeland, Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti, and Michelle Dockery. They started filming in Cape Town, South Africa, on February 14, 2022.
The CEO of Nitbah Pictures, Simon Swart, said the movie will mix real-world issues with a cool and unique style, inspired by the best graphic novels. In August 2023, they announced that Ludvig Forssell, a Swedish composer, will create the music for the movie.
Release
Boy Kills World first showed to the world at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2023. Then, in January 2024, Lionsgate Films and Roadside Attractions got the rights to show the movie in the United States. They decided to release it in theaters on April 26, 2024.
