About Bad Boys: Ride or Die
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is an upcoming American buddy cop action comedy film directed by Adil & Bilall and written by Chris Bremner. Produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Westbrook Studios, and 2.0 Entertainment and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the sequel to Bad Boys for Life (2020) and the fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise.
Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, Joe Pantoliano, and DJ Khaled reprise their roles from the previous film, with Tasha Smith taking over the role of Theresa Burnett from Theresa Randle, who previously played the character in the last three films? New cast members include Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Melanie Liburd, and Tiffany Haddish.
The film will be released in the United States on June 7, 2024.
Synopsis of Bad Boys: Ride or Die
Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett look into corruption in the Miami police. They find out that their former Captain Conrad Howard, who passed away, is accused of working with drug cartels. They get framed for a crime they didn’t commit and become fugitives. They must work outside the law to clear their names and solve the case.

Production of Movie ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’
Development
After the success of Bad Boys for Life during its first weekend at the box office, Sony announced plans to make a fourth movie. Chris Bremner will write the script again for this new film.
In April 2022, news came out that they were pausing work on the fourth movie because of what happened at the Academy Awards. Will Smith had slapped Chris Rock there. However, the next month, Sony’s head chairman said they were still planning to make the fourth movie, despite what was said before.
In February 2023, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence announced that they would be back for the new movie. It was already in the early stages of preparation, and the directors, Adil and Bilall, were coming back, too.
In March 2023, Vanessa Hudgens confirmed she would play Kelly again from Bad Boys for Life. Later, in April 2023, they announced Eric Dane would join the cast, likely playing the bad guy. Paola Núñez and Alexander Ludwig were also coming back from the last movie. Ioan Gruffudd was added to the cast that same month.
In May 2023, they shared that Rhea Seehorn was joining the cast too.
As one of the directors said, the movie was originally going to be called Bad Boys: Ride or Die before they settled on the final title in early 2024.
Filming
Filming for the movie started on April 3, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Miami, Florida. In May 2023, TMZ showed video clips of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence filming scenes in Atlanta. They stopped filming in July because of a strike. In March 2024, they said Jacob Scipio would be in the movie again as Armando Aretas. They finished filming on March 4.

The movie’s first trailer came out on March 26, 2024.
Release
The movie Bad Boys: Ride or Die will come out in the United States on June 7, 2024. It was supposed to come out on July 3, 2019, but then it was moved to May 24, 2019. Later, they took it off the schedule because they wanted to release the third movie before the fourth one. In July 2023, they said it would come out on June 14, 2024. Then, in February 2024, they changed the date to June 7, 2024.
