About American Dreamer
American Dreamer is a funny movie from 2022. It’s directed by Paul Dektor, who is making his first full-length movie, and written by Theodore Melfi. The story comes from a part of the radio show called This American Life.
In the movie, Peter Dinklage plays a teacher who wants to buy the home of a lonely widow, played by Shirley MacLaine. Other actors like Matt Dillon, Danny Glover, Kimberly Quinn, and Danny Pudi are also in the movie.

Premise of American Dreamer
Dr. Phil Loder is a part-time teacher in economics at Harvard. He has a big dream of having his own house. His dream seems like it might come true when a widow who is alone offers him her large property for very little money. But, as it turns out, the offer is not as good as it seems.

Production
The movie American Dreamer started getting made on February 2, 2021. It was announced with actors like Peter Dinklage, Shirley MacLaine, and Kimberly Quinn. Later on, in March, more actors like Danny Glover, Matt Dillon, Danny Pudi, and Michelle Mylett joined the team. They began filming on March 15 in Vancouver and were planning to finish by April 16, 2021. They also filmed some scenes in Victoria, British Columbia, where they turned parts of the British Columbia Parliament Buildings into “Brockton University” because the movie is set in Massachusetts.
Release
The movie first showed to the whole world at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 11, 2022. It will come out in the United States on March 8, 2024.
