About Alien: Romulus
Alien: Romulus is a new scary movie from America. It’s part of the Alien series and comes after the first Alien movie but before Aliens. Fede Álvarez is the director, and he worked on the story with Rodo Sayagues. The movie was made by Scott Free Productions and Brandywine Productions. The actors in it include Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.

Premise
This story happens between the movies Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). It’s about a bunch of young people living in space colonies. They find an abandoned space station and encounter the scariest creature in their universe.

Production
After Disney bought 21st Century Fox, they said they were going to make more Alien movies. At a big event called CinemaCon in 2019, they said this officially. In March 2022, they said a person named Fede Álvarez would write and direct one of the movies. It’s going to be a new story, not connected to the old Alien movies. It will come out on Hulu in the USA.
In November, they started talking with an actor named Cailee Spaeny to be in the movie. In March 2023, they said Isabela Merced will also be in the movie, along with Cailee. After that, they said David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu will also be in it. In November 2023, they said the movie will happen between the first Alien movie in 1979 and the second one in 1986. Some of the people who worked on the second movie will work on this one too.
They filmed the movie in Budapest from March 9 to July 3, 2023.

Release
Originally, the movie Alien: Romulus was supposed to come out on Hulu. But just before they started filming, they changed their minds and decided to release it in theaters instead. It’s going to come out on August 16, 2024, by 20th Century Studios.
