1992 (previously named April 29, 1992, and Clash) is an upcoming drama movie from America. It’s directed by Ariel Vromen and written by Sascha Penn and Vromen, based on a story by Penn. The main actors are Tyrese Gibson, Ray Liotta, and Scott Eastwood. The movie is about the first night of the 1992 Los Angeles riots. This event is when and where the movie takes place. It’s important to note that this will be Ray Liotta’s final movie, dedicated to his memory.

Production
In August 2015, news broke that Ice Cube and O’Shea Jackson Jr. would star in a movie. Will Packer would produce it, Donovan Marsh would direct, and Lionsgate would distribute it. However, Cube’s spokesperson later said Cube and Jackson weren’t involved.
In March 2021, they said Vromen would direct the movie. Then, in July 2021, they announced that Gibson, Liotta, and Eastwood would be in it. In September 2021, they said Beasley joined the cast, and they started filming in Bulgaria and Los Angeles. In February 2022, Ammanuel and Arnold were added to the cast.
Later on, Collider said Liotta finished filming his part before he passed away in May 2022.

Release
The movie 1992 will be released in some theatres in the United States on May 31, 2024.
