Richard has a degree in Theatre from the University of Houston. He started his career in Texas, making a big impact on independent films. His first big movie, called “The Song,” came out in 2014 and was shown in theaters all over the country. Richard is also working on a new movie called “Unsung Hero,” where he is both the writer and director. He makes funny short films with his brother John, and these have been featured in many film festivals and websites like NYT, HuffPo, LA Times, CBS News, The Atlantic, and IFC. Richard was in charge of a successful studio called City on a Hill for six years before moving to Nashville. In Nashville, he worked for three years at Kingdom Story Company. Richard and his wife still live in Nashville, and they have five kids, all named after Beatles songs.
