Ned Benson is an American filmmaker born on April 3, 1977.
Ned Benson went to Deerfield Academy and finished school at Columbia University in 2001. He used to be in a long relationship with Jessica Chastain, but they broke up in 2010. Benson’s first movie as a director is called “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.” Jessica Chastain was curious about the story, so Benson wrote a new script just for her perspective, and she joined the cast. They filmed it as two movies at the same time, which premiered in 2013 at the Toronto International Film Festival. Later, they combined the films into one called “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Them,” shown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. The movie had a limited release in September 2014. Benson also worked on the story for the movie “Black Widow” in 2019, but he was replaced by Eric Pearson later on.
