William Mapother Jr. is an American actor. You might know him from the TV show Lost where he played Ethan Rom and the movie In the Bedroom. He’s also in a movie called Another Earth.

In his personal life, Mapother was born in Louisville, Kentucky. His mom’s name is Louisa, and his dad, William Reibert Mapother Sr., was a lawyer and a judge in Louisville.

Mapother is related to actor Tom Cruise. They are first cousins.

As an actor, Mapother is known for playing different kinds of characters, especially ones that are scary or dark. He had an important role in the movie In the Bedroom and played Ethan Rom in the TV show Lost for 11 episodes.

He has also been in independent films like The Lather Effect, Moola, Hurt, and Another Earth. In The Burrowers, he starred as a Native American fighter helping find missing settlers.

In 2007, he was chosen to be on the National Board of Directors for the Screen Actors Guild for three years.

Mapother did motion capture work for the video game Hitman: Absolution in 2012. He also provided the voice for the main character. In 2014, he played the main role in the paranormal horror film The Atticus Institute.
