Thomas Haden Church is an American actor. He was born on June 17, 1960, in Woodland, California. He became famous for his roles in TV shows like Wings and Ned & Stacey. Later, he gained recognition for his roles in movies such as George of the Jungle, Sideways (for which he got an Academy Award nomination), Spider-Man 3, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. He also directed a movie called Rolling Kansas in 2003.

In his early life, Church’s parents divorced, and he moved to Texas with his mom. He changed his last name to ‘Haden Church’ because people found his stepfather’s last name difficult to pronounce. He left high school in 1977 to work in the oil fields but later graduated in 1979.

Church started his career in entertainment as a radio personality and doing voice-over work. He played Lowell Mather on the TV show Wings for six seasons. He took a break from films in 2000 and later directed Rolling Kansas in 2003.

One of his breakthrough moments was in the movie Sideways, where he earned an Independent Spirit Award and an Oscar nomination. He continued to work in various films and television shows, receiving praise for his performances.

Thomas Haden Church lives on a ranch in Texas. He has two children from a previous relationship but has never been married. His father passed away in 2008, and his stepfather in 2012.

In 2023, Church starred as Agent Stone in the Peacock series Twisted Metal, a post-apocalyptic action comedy. In December 2021, it was announced that he would star in the comedy film The Estate alongside Toni Collette and Anna Faris. In March 2023, he appeared as Lloyd in Acidman.
