Terry Hu is a lady from Taiwan who does many things. She was born on April 21, 1953, in Taichung, Taiwan, but her family comes from Shenyang, Liaoning. She is the daughter of Qu Shifang and Hu Gengnian. Terry grew up in Taichung and Taipei. When she was 15, her parents got divorced.
Terry went to Christchurch School and later to Fu Jen Catholic University, where she studied German. After that, she went to Seton Hall University to study mass communication and even attended a modeling school in New York City.
Terry became famous as an actress in Taiwan. She acted in many films, like “The Life God” and “Far Away From Home,” for which she won an award. She also learned acting at HB Studio.
When she was 35, Terry stopped acting and started writing and translating books. She translated works by authors like Jiddu Krishnamurti and Pema Chödrön. She became known as a leading figure in Taiwan’s New Age movement.
Terry got married to a man named Li Ao in 1980, but they divorced after only three months. They had a daughter named Hu Jiesheng in 1994, but Terry never said who the father is.
