Sharvari Wagh is an Indian actress who acts in Hindi movies. She started her career in 2015 by helping directors Luv Ranjan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Later, she began acting in 2020 with Kabir Khan’s web series called “The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye”. In 2021, she appeared in her first movie, “Bunty Aur Babli 2” by Yash Raj Films, and won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Sharvari Wagh was born in 1996 into a Marathi family. Her parents are Shailesh Wagh, a builder, and Namrata Wagh, an architect. She went to school at The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School and Ruparel College in Mumbai. Her maternal grandfather is Manohar Joshi, a former chief minister of Maharashtra.
Before acting, Wagh worked as an assistant director in movies like “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2”, “Bajirao Mastani”, and “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety”. She started auditioning for main roles in movies since 2014. Her acting journey began with the Amazon Prime series “The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye” in 2020.
In 2021, she starred in her first movie, “Bunty Aur Babli 2”, alongside Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. Sharvari Wagh’s confidence and screen presence were praised by Hindustan Times.
Next, she will be seen in “Maharaja” with Junaid Khan and Shalini Pandey. She is also set to feature in the action film “Vedaa” with John Abraham.
