Sean MacKenzie Bridgers was born on March 15, 1968, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is an American actor, writer, and producer. You might recognize him from the HBO show Deadwood, where he played Johnny Burns, or the SundanceTV series Rectify, where he portrayed Trey Willis.

Besides his TV roles, Sean Bridgers has been in many movies since 1991. He gained recognition and awards for his work in the independent film Paradise Falls, which he both wrote and produced. One of his notable film roles was playing Old Nick in the 2015 movie Room.

In his personal life, Sean Bridgers was born to Ben and Sue Ellen Bridgers. His dad was a tribal attorney for the Cherokee Indian tribe, and his mom is a novelist. Sean graduated from St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School and Western Carolina University. He got interested in acting after seeing Robert Duvall in Tender Mercies at the age of 14.
