Sean Astin is an American actor. He’s been in many movies and TV shows. Some of his famous roles are Mikey in The Goonies, Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings movies, and Bob Newby in Stranger Things.

Sean was born on February 25, 1971, in Santa Monica, California. His mom is Patty Duke, who was an actress. His dad is John Astin, who is also an actor. Even though Sean’s mom was married to someone else when he was born, John Astin adopted him when he was a baby. Sean found out later in life that his biological dad is someone else, named Michael Tell.

Sean went to school in California. He acted in his first movie when he was 13 years old. It was called The Goonies. After that, he acted in many more movies and TV shows.

One of the biggest movies Sean was in is The Lord of the Rings trilogy. He played a character named Samwise Gamgee. These movies won a lot of awards, and Sean got awards for his acting too.

Apart from acting, Sean also directed and produced some short films. He’s been in lots of different types of movies and TV shows, and he even does voice acting sometimes.

Sean is married to Christine Harrell, and they have three daughters. He’s also involved in charity work and supports the Democratic Party in politics.
