Sanjeev Jaiswal was born on 18 February 1988 in Jamshedpur, India. He is an actor from India who acts in Hindi movies. His first movie was Shaitan where he played a police informer. Then, he acted in The Attacks of 26/11, a movie about the 2008 Mumbai attacks. In this film, he played the main role of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab.
In 2019, he acted in a movie called Devaki, which was released in two languages, Kannada and Tamil.
Sanjeev grew up in Jamshedpur and went to Motilal Nehru Public School. He got a bachelor’s degree in arts from IGNOU. He also did theater in Delhi while studying.
Early in his career, he was known for his theater work in Delhi. He moved to Mumbai in 2008 and appeared in TV commercials and small roles in TV shows. He even worked as an assistant director in a TV serial called Sasural Genda Phool.
In 2013, he played the lead role in a movie directed by Ram Gopal Varma called The Attacks Of 26/11. He auditioned among 500 applicants and got selected to play Ajmal Kasab, the main terrorist in the 26/11 attack in Mumbai. People appreciated his acting in the movie, even though they disliked the character he portrayed.
Actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, director Shekhar Kapur, and politician L. K. Advani praised his performance in the movie.
In 2022, Sanjeev attended the Jharkhand National Film Festival in Jamshedpur.
