Sanjay Surinder Kapoor is an actor and movie maker from India. He acts in Hindi movies, Indian TV shows, and online series. He comes from the Surinder Kapoor family. Kapoor founded Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment Private Limited.
Early Life:
Sanjay Kapoor was born to Nirmal Kapoor and Surinder Kapoor. He has three older siblings: Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Reena Marwah. His nephews and nieces include actors Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Harshvardhan Kapoor, and movie maker Rhea Kapoor. He’s also distantly related to the Kapoor family of Prithviraj Kapoor.
Career:
Sanjay Kapoor started acting in Hindi movies in 1995 with “Prem,” alongside Tabu. His next movie “Raja” with Madhuri Dixit was a success. He acted in lead roles in movies like “Auzaar,” “Mohabbat,” and “Sirf Tum.” While some of his movies did moderately well, many failed at the box office. He received praise for his villainous role in “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.” Later, he took on supporting roles in movies like “Qayamat: City Under Threat” and “Luck By Chance.” He started producing movies with “Tevar” in 2015, starring his nephew Arjun Kapoor. He also appeared in a cameo with his brother Anil Kapoor in “Mubarakan” in 2017. In television, he debuted in 2003 and later appeared in serials like “Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara” and web series like “Soggy Hoga Tera Baap.” In 2022, he starred in the Netflix series “The Fame Game.”
Personal Life:
Sanjay Kapoor married Maheep Sandhu, a former actress, in 1997. They have two children, Shanaya and Jahaan Kapoor.
