Robert Anthony De Niro is an American actor and film producer. He was born on August 17, 1943. De Niro is famous for working with director Martin Scorsese and is considered one of the greatest actors. He has won two Academy Awards and received other prestigious honors for his acting.

De Niro learned acting at different places like HB Studio, Stella Adler Conservatory, and Lee Strasberg’s Actors Studio. His first collaboration with Martin Scorsese was in the movie Mean Streets in 1973. He won Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in The Godfather Part II (1974) and Best Actor in Raging Bull (1980). He also received nominations for his roles in films like Taxi Driver (1976), The Deer Hunter (1978), and others.

Apart from acting, De Niro has been involved in producing and directing. He co-founded the film and TV production company TriBeCa Productions in 1989 and later started the Tribeca Film Festival in 2002.

De Niro has been part of many classic films like Goodfellas (1990), Heat (1995), and Casino (1995). He is also known for his TV work, including playing Bernie Madoff in The Wizard of Lies (2017).

In his early life, De Niro grew up in New York City with his mother after his parents’ separation. He faced challenges but found his passion for acting and dropped out of high school to pursue it. His career took off with roles in iconic films and collaborations with renowned directors.
