Robert John Davi was born on June 26, 1951, in America. He is an actor, singer, and filmmaker. Throughout his acting career, he has been in more than 130 movies. Some of his famous roles include Jake Fratelli in The Goonies (1985), FBI agent Johnson in Die Hard (1988), villain Franz Sanchez in Licence to Kill (1989), police deputy chief Phil Heinemann in Predator 2 (1990), and strip club manager Al Torres in Showgirls (1995). On TV, he played FBI agent Bailey Malone in the show Profiler (1996–2000).

Davi is also a trained singer. He started singing professionally in 2011 and his first album, Davi Sings Sinatra – On The Road To Romance, reached No. 6 on the Billboard jazz charts. He got praise for his singing and began performing at The Venetian Las Vegas. In 2016, Davi took over as a radio host for a national radio program.

Davi was born in 1951 in Astoria, Queens, New York. His parents were Maria and Sal Davi. He went to Seton Hall High School and later graduated from Hofstra University. He studied acting with Stella Adler in Manhattan.

Davi began his movie career in Contract On Cherry Street, where he acted alongside Frank Sinatra. He appeared in many movies including The Goonies, Die Hard, Showgirls, Son of the Pink Panther, and Licence to Kill. He also appeared in The Expendables 3 in 2014.

In 2015, Davi appeared in a music video for Bob Dylan’s song “The Night They Called It A Day.” He also interpreted Gabriele Tinti’s poetry at the Getty Museum.

Davi directed his first movie, The Dukes, in 2007. The film was about the economic crisis of the mid-2000s. He also directed My Son Hunter, released in 2022.

Davi has been married a few times and has children. He has been involved in politics and is known for his conservative views. He has supported Republican candidates like John McCain and Donald Trump. Davi was honored by being included in Toronto’s Italian Walk of Fame in 2013. He was also nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award for his role in Showgirls.
