Rahul Mittra is an Indian movie maker and actor. He started Rahul Mittra Films, Brandsmith, and Brandsmith Motion Pictures. He made movies like Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster (2011), Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013), Bullett Raja (2013), Revolver Rani (2014), Sarkar 3 (2017), Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 (2018), Cabaret (2019), and Torbaaz. Torbaaz, starring Sanjay Dutt, Nargis Fakhri, Rahul Dev, and Rahul Mittra, was on Netflix.
Before making movies, Rahul was a journalist at the Times of India. He’s won awards for his movies and business ideas. One idea, Medianet, was about putting ads in the paper’s articles. Some people didn’t like it.
Rahul went to school in Chandigarh and Delhi. He studied Political Science and International Studies at Delhi University and JNU. He started working at the Times of India in 1994. Later, he tried different jobs like brand management and consulting.
His movie, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster, changed Indian cinema. It focused on Indian stories, not just NRIs. Rahul worked with big actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and Kangana Ranaut.
He also helped with movies like Zubaan, Saat Uchakey, Nanak Naam Jahaj Hai, Legends of Michael Misra, Main aur Charles, Dear Maya, and Daddy.
