Prithviraj Sukumaran is an actor from India. He was born on October 16, 1982. He acts in movies in the Malayalam language, but he also works in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu films. He has been in over 100 movies and has won many awards, including a National Film Award and several Kerala State Film Awards.
Prithviraj started acting with the movie “Nandanam” in 2002, which was a success. He became famous with “Classmates” in 2006, which was the highest-grossing Malayalam film that year. He won his first Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for “Vaasthavam.” He also sings songs for movies.
In 2010, he joined August Cinema production house and starred in movies like “Urumi” and “Indian Rupee.” He won awards for his roles. He left August Cinema in 2017 and started his own production company, Prithviraj Productions.
Prithviraj directed his first movie, “Lucifer,” in 2019, which became the highest-grossing Malayalam film. He has acted in many successful movies like “Driving License,” “Ayyappanum Koshiyum,” and “Jana Gana Mana.”
Prithviraj was born in Thiruvananthapuram to actor parents. He went to school in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He studied Information Technology in Australia. His brother Indrajith Sukumaran and sister-in-law Poornima Indrajith are also actors.
Prithviraj got married to Supriya Menon, a BBC India reporter, in 2011. They have a daughter together. They live in Kochi.
