Omkar Das Manikpuri is an actor from India. He was born on August 5, 1970. He acted in plays and movies. He is from a place called Brindanagarm in Chhattisgarh. He worked with a famous theatre group called Naya Theatre. He started acting in Hindi films with “Peepli Live” in 2010.

He was born near Bhilai in Chhattisgarh. He went to school until the fifth grade. But when his father died, he joined a village theatre group. He moved to Brindanagar in Bhilai in 1981.

Manikpuri started acting when he was 17. He performed in local folk theatre and later joined Naya Theatre in Bhopal. He acted in many famous plays like Agra Bazaar and Charandas Chor.

In 2010, he acted in his first Bollywood movie “Peepli Live” as the main character. He was noticed by the directors during a play in Bhopal.

After that, he acted in other movies like “Ebn-E-Batuta,” “Newton,” and “Unda.” In 2023, he gave a memorable performance in the movie “Jawan” where he played the role of a Dalit farmer.

Manikpuri lives with his family in Brindanagar in Bhilai.
