Neena Gupta is an actress and TV director from India. She works in Hindi movies and TV shows, and also in a few Malayalam films. She has won many awards, including two National Film Awards, a Filmfare Award, and two Filmfare OTT Awards.

She is known for acting in different kinds of movies, both serious and funny. She won a National Film Award for playing a young widow in the movie “Woh Chokri” in 1994. In 2018, she became popular again for her role as a middle-aged woman who gets pregnant in the comedy-drama “Badhaai Ho.” For this, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics).

Neena Gupta has been on TV too. She was in a show called “Saans” and hosted a quiz show called “Kamzor Kadii Kaun.” She wrote her autobiography called “Sach Kahun Toh,” which was released in 2021.

Neena Gupta was born in Calcutta, India. Her father worked for the State Trading Corporation, and her mother was a teacher. She grew up in New Delhi, went to school there, and later studied at Delhi University. She also went to the National School of Drama, where she graduated in 1980.

Neena Gupta acted in many movies, including international ones like “Gandhi.” She became well-known for her roles in serious movies like “Woh Chokri” and funny ones like “Badhaai Ho.” She has also directed TV shows like “Saans” and acted in many others.

Neena Gupta has been married twice. Her first marriage ended quickly, and she was briefly engaged before. She has a daughter named Masaba Gupta, whose father is former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards. Neena Gupta got married again in 2008 to Vivek Mehra, a chartered accountant.
