Mo grew up in South Los Angeles. When he was in high school, he found comfort in acting. He chose acting over playing basketball when he got the main role in a school play.
After finishing high school, Mo decided to follow his dream of being in the entertainment industry. He got an agent and started doing commercials for big companies like Visa, Nike, and Reebok. He then got roles on TV shows like NYPD Blue, Becker, and Boston Public. He also appeared in shows like CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, ER, and The Shield.
