Maxwell Jenkins was born on May 3, 2005, in America. He is an actor in movies and TV shows. You might know him from Lost in Space, A Family Man, and Sense8. In 2020, he played Joseph Bell in a true story movie called Joe Bell, with Mark Wahlberg.
Maxwell’s parents are Jeff Jenkins, who used to be a clown, and Julie Greenberg, an actress. They started a circus called Midnight Circus in Chicago. The money they make helps improve Chicago parks. Maxwell started performing in the circus when he was only three years old. He did cool acts like rola-bola, acrobatics, tightwire walking, juggling, and playing the mandolin.
He started acting at the age of eight in a show called Betrayal. After that, he got roles in Sense8 and Chicago Fire. In 2016, he became Will Robinson in Lost in Space on Netflix. People liked his acting, and he got nominated for awards.
Maxwell is not just an actor; he loves music too. He plays mandolin, guitar, bass guitar, violin, and drums. His band, Cowboy Jesus and the Sugar Bums, won a Chicago Music Award.
Outside of his work, Maxwell still performs in his family’s circus, Midnight Circus in the Parks. They raised more than $1 million for Chicago parks, community projects, and disaster relief.
Maxwell cares about animals. He supports the ASPCA and helps with education and laws to protect dogs. He also raises awareness and money for Oceana, a group that protects the oceans.
When his high school had a symbol that wasn’t respectful to Native Americans, Maxwell led a petition to change it. He spoke at school meetings and said it was important to make things better for everyone. The school agreed and changed the symbol.
In 2020, Maxwell got a Community Leadership Award for his charity work from the Young Artist Academy.
Now, he cheers for UCLA as a cheerleader.
